Interest in the circular economy is growing. More and more companies are striving to limit harmful effects on the environment. Circular stands for reuse of hardware and raw materials. This is in stark contrast to the old-fashioned linear system in which products and raw materials are destroyed at the end of their lifespan.
The Dutch ICT chain guarantees a strongly growing stream of surplus and/or written-off hardware. Hardware that can often be refurbished without compromising data security. In this way, valuable raw materials are preserved and naturally this contributes to the circular economy.
What does Holland Recycling do with your hardware that can be refurbished?
- Holland Recycling takes care of the collection of your hardware from your location
- We follow the requirements of the EN 50614 Standard when preparing to reuse discarded electrical and electronic equipment.
- The hardware is tested and registered upon arrival at the refurbishment site
- Data carriers are certified as destroyed or wiped
- The hardware is upgraded and defective parts are replaced
- All references to your company are removed (asset tags, stickers, etc.)
- You receive a declaration of data destruction, complete with the serial numbers of the data carriers.
It’s nice when a product is used for as long as possible, of course, but at a certain point, even the products that Holland Recycling has refurbished reach the end of their life. Holland Recycling already takes this into account when finding the right sales markets. For example, Holland Recycling only sells to markets that have at least the same recycling standards as in the Netherlands.
